Real photos. Just like you.

Choosing a photographer for your special day is perhaps the most important decision you’ll have to make when planning your elopement.

Take your time to read through the information below and see if we are a good fit.
In the end, I sincerely want what’s best for you.

Real moments matter the most to me. No awkward or forced poses, no cheesy smiles. My goal is to have you fully aware and grounded, soaking every little detail of being where you are, and having those precious seconds captured, so when you look at the photographs, you will be able to relive them all.

I can only imagine the stress and pressure of having to be your absolute best on your big day. I won’t promise you perfection (who needs it anyway, remember, we are here for the experience) but I will do everything in my power to have you calm and relaxed, and build upon mutual trust from the moment we exchange our first emails. So when you’re ready to hop on that flight to Reykjavik, it will feel like you’re about to meet a friend, and do something incredibly exciting and unforgettable together.

Eloping doesn’t necessarily mean a strenuous hike with a photo session attached to it –  in fact, it can be whatever you may dream it to be. Horseback riding? Sure! Ice cave exploring? Why not! A lazy road trip with a picnic? Yes, please! Whatever type of activity you fancy, no matter how weird or crazy or “boring”, you’ll have my full on support and assistance. And if you’re not sure what to do, we’ll brainstorm together!

When you think of it, photographs is the only thing that will last past your special day. Aside from the “something to show our grand kids” sentiment these images will be a beautiful and precious reminder of your experience together, for you. I want my work to be your time machine, that will fly you back to your amazing adventure and everything you felt while at it.

No, I am not taking you to the most overcrowded black beach or the most photographed waterfall (unless you insist, vigorously). Having a privilege of living on this otherworldly island I would like to show you places that you otherwise might not have discovered. I scout new locations regularly and always check the spot of your choosing before we actually head out there.

I’m not one of those photographers who use the same 10 prompts with every couple, or slap the same preset over each and every image I take. We are all different, with our personal love language, and Iceland is incredibly diverse, with the ever changing weather and scenery – there is simply no one-size-fits-all here. I always strive to understand your love language, and have the photos reflect your day and your experience.

I shoot both digital and analogue. There is nothing more classic and timeless than film, if you ask me. It’s called “slow photography” for a reason, and I love taking my time and giving my couples the opportunity to pause and breathe – whereas digital comes in handy when the pace picks up. You’ll get the best of two worlds.

I firmly believe that top quality work requires good amount of time and effort, that’s why I take up very few elopements and couple sessions each year. I want to make sure that those who commit to working with me will get the absolute best experience, from start to finish.

This is a safe space for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+. Everyone is welcome here, no exception, and I will be honored to document the story of any two humans in love.

We’re in! What’s next?

I try my best to make the booking process as easy and stress free as possible.
All you need is to make an inquiry and we’ll get that ball rolling!

1. Get in touch

Drop me a line via inquiry page – you are welcome to fill out the form or email me directly. I will get back to you with further details and a suggestion for an online consultation within 24 hrs

(Don’t forget to check the spam folder)

2. Let’s get to know each other better

We will schedule a non-binding online call – video or audio, whichever you prefer. This is a good time to ask general questions, and see if we are a good fit.
(To my fellow introverts, don’t worry, I am probably more shy and awkward than you are)

3. Make it official

If you feel like I’m your person, we seal the deal. A signed agreement and a 50% retainer will reserve your date.

4. The fun part

We start planning. My knowledge and expertise are yours to use, and I will gladly assist you with every step along the way.

5. Your day

Your special day is here and we are off to celebrate. It will be magical, I promise, and I will be there to capture every moment of it.

6. Delivery

Your gallery will be delivered to you within the agreed period of time, depending on the package. Sit down, enjoy the slide show and relive your special day.

Here you can find answers to most common questions I get asked.
Please, don’t hesitate to reach out, if your particular question is not listed.

Where are you based?

I live in a small town of Hveragerði, about 40 min east of Reykjavik.

Do you travel internationally?

Currently I work within Iceland only.

How many photos can we expect to receive?

The quantity of images depends on the package you’ve chosen, but I can assure you I never withhold or charge extra for any good photos – you will get them all.

What’s your turnaround time?

From 4 to 12 weeks, depending on the package.

Can we have RAW files as well?

I deliver edited images only. Don’t worry though, I cull the photos very carefully and you will never miss out on something that’s worth keeping.

How is our gallery delivered?

I use Pic-time platform which allows to display images beautifully in a private password-protected gallery. You can share them with family and friends in one click, download web or high resolution files for personal usage, or  order prints, albums and other products directly through Pic-time store.

We are awkward and uncomfortable in front of the camera, help!

No one expects you to be a high fashion model, on the contrary, we’ll be avoiding all kinds of posing and acting as much as possible. I will be there to guide you gently (if needed) and help you relax and just be yourselves. Give it 10-15 minutes of awkwardness in the beginning, and then you’ll forget we’re shooting.

What if the weather is bad?

Iceland’s weather is famous for its unpredictability, but hey, it’s part of its charm (and your adventure!), otherwise let’s be honest, you would probably opt to elope in Tenerife. In most cases I advise my couples to accept and enjoy whatever drama the weather decides to throw at us. However, at times it will be utterly horrible, or it might be downright dangerous to travel, especially during winter season – if so, we’ll have to reschedule. No worries though, I always keep an extra day free for a possible postponement.

Can you help us with planning?

Yes, absolutely! If you’re not sure about where, when and how to elope in Iceland, I will gladly assist you in the process. Having said that, please keep in mind, I am not a wedding planner – if you rather prefer to sit back and relax while someone does the planning and booking for you, I can recommend several wonderful local wedding planners to help you.

I have another question

Head to my inquiry page and ask away!
