A Playful summer elopement in the south-East of iceland
We’ll be honest, there’s nothing we love more than intimate, ‘just the two of us’ elopements. With no distractions, no limitations, and no rules to follow, you’re free to craft a day that’s entirely your own, filled with moments that truly reflect your dreams and desires. Alli and Brian embraced this wholeheartedly, and with out help they created a day that was all about their love and celebration. We were honored to join them and document their unforgettable adventure in the otherworldly landscapes of south-east Iceland.

Alli and Brian journeyed all the way from the US, and from our very first interaction, it was clear they were looking for something truly special. They wanted to avoid tourist traps and over-photographed Instagram hotspots, seeking instead remote, secluded locations where they could enjoy their day in peace and privacy. My immediate recommendation? The stunning southeast of Iceland. While gaining popularity in recent years, it still offers hidden gems that remain untouched by the crowds – and we love sharing these spots with our couples.
Their day began at the fabulous Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon, where they got ready before meeting us at a hidden waterfall that we had entirely to ourselves. From there, we embarked on a breathtaking hike to Mulagljúfur canyon, one of Iceland’s most enchanting spots, especially during summer and autumn. It was there, surrounded by towering cliffs and cascading greenery, that Alli and Brian exchanged their vows and rings in absolute seclusion.
The adventure continued with a stop at a serene glacial lagoon before we took a quick dinner break in the charming village of Höfn. The day ended at Stokksnes, where Iceland’s infamous weather put on a show. Sudden gusts of wind and dramatic grey clouds enveloped the mountain ridge, but the moody atmosphere only added to the magic of the moment.
What a day it was – full of adventure, love, and unforgettable scenery. Take a look at their journey and get inspired for your own!
